Born and raised in Toronto, Alex Paxton-Beesley is a graduate of George Brown Theatre School and the Canadian Film Centre’s Actor’s Conservatory.
On stage, she has worked with The Company Theatre (Festen, Canadian Premiere), Canadian Stage/Citadel Theatre (Rock ‘n’ Roll, Canadian Premiere), Theatre Aquarius (The Woman in White, Worldwide Premiere) and Circlesnake, with whom she co- created and starred in SLIP.
On television, her credits include guest-starring in The Listener, Private Eyes, Minority Report and Wynonna Earp, recurring roles in Warehouse 13, The Strain, The Firm, Impulse, Murdoch Mysteries and Cardinal, as a supporting lead in the Hallmark Hall of Fame MOW Christmas With Holly, a lead in Lifetime’s Breakdown at 17 and The Perfect Soulmate, and as a series regular on BBC America’s series Copper. She recently completed the second season on the drama series Pure.
On film she can be seen in The Confessor, Dirty Singles, Space & Time, Your Place or Mine (BravoFact Short), Burnt Grass (TIFF ShortCuts 2014), and as the lead in Phillip Barkers' short films Malody (TIFF ShortCuts 2012/Canada’s Top Ten) and Dredger (TIFF ShortCuts 2015).
